Hello, my name is Sloan! (cis - she/her)I'm a Canadian artist and illustrator that's from and based in friendly Manitoba. I've been drawing ever since I could hold a pencil, and I'm mostly self taught. I started successfully selling my art at Ai-kon in Winnipeg back in 2011, thanks to placing in (and winning) a few of their mascot contests.
Currently my artwork focuses more on little sparks of joy and magic found in the natural world and from living everyday life - such as memories of my Grandparents's prairie garden, or enjoying coffee with my best friend. To me, art is a form of practicing love and gratitude for the world around us.
For my digital artwork, I use Clip Studio Paint EX and a Huion drawing tablet, though it often starts as a sketch on paper. I love my work to have an organic, textured watercolour feeling.Additionally, I'm experienced in Photoshop and other software.
For my traditional art, I use anything from pen & pencil, to watercolour and Copic markers. I love learning new mediums! All my artwork is 100% human-made; you'll never find artificially generated images or content here.
Have you started your Christmas shopping, but you’re not sure what to get that person who seems to have everything already? A personalized illustration from a local artist might be just what you’re looking for, and my art commissions are open!I love creating sentimental pieces of art inspired by nature, food, people and animals that make life so special; whether it's a couple portrait for a wedding gift, pet portrait for a memorial, or artwork inspired by Grandma's garden for a birthday. I'm also available for business / commercial-use projects!Commissions are OPEN as of October 2nd, 2025.Christmas deadline: Contact me no later than November 30th, 2025 for artwork to be ready for the holiday season; otherwise rush fees may apply. Limited slots available for reserve.

Commission Types & Pricing
Commission Process
To begin: Through a google form, I will ask you for as much information as possible so that I can provide you a price quote suitable for your needs and budget. This will include image references/photos, and potentially an additional description of the illustration you want created. If you are satisfied with quoted price, I will send you a PayPal invoice.
50% downpayment is required before I begin drawing.I will send you regular progress updates, and ask for your official approval of each step before I move on to the next. I provide a limited number of free revisions before charging an additional fee - see Policies for details. The steps typically include: A rough pencil concept, digital sketch, lines, colour, shading, and finishing touches, and any requested revisions. You can click the images below for larger viewing & captions.
Once we both agree the illustration is complete,
the final 50% is paid via PayPal invoice, and I will then send you:
The artwork: full size (printable), unwatermarked .PNG file
A timelapse: MP4 file of the illustration process (unedited, 1 minute long.)
Terms of use: TXT file noting how the artwork can be used.

Otherwise listed in chronological order.
Policies effective October 1st, 2025. May be subject to change.
Refunds & Cancellations
Full refunds can ONLY be requested during the sketch stage. Anything past that, I can provide a reasonable partial refund based on my time spent. A "kill fee" for the project may apply.
I have the right to cancel / not accept commissions. If commission terms are broken or client acts inappropriately/in bad faith, the commission may be cancelled. Depending on the situation, I may not provide a refund and/or may revoke commissioner's rights to the artwork.
Revisions & Changes
You receive 2 minor revisions at each step through the art creation process, and 1 major change during the sketch and/or lining stage.
Any additional minor changes, or major changes after you have approved the finished lines, may be subject to additional fees.
Cost of revisions will be discussed with transparency through the commission process, and added to the final invoice upon completion of the project.
If it's my error where important details in the references or discussion are missed or incorrect, I will correct those for free.
Upgrading your commission: If during the process, it's decided that your illustration calls for more than originally agreed upon in the quote, you have the option to pay the difference for your commission to be upgraded.
Example: If you pay for a human portrait, but midway it needs to be changed to have a pet added, artwork can stay as-is without the pet, or the difference can be paid for the upgrade.
